Speaker: Chris Hyatt, Co-CEO, New Perspective Senior Living
Congress needs accurate perspective as America’s population rapidly ages. A recent hearing in the Senate Special Committee on Aging showcased the flawed opinions among policy makers that have formed over the years as they have avoided addressing the long-term care needs of the nation. Argentum’s Public Policy Institute, convening senior living advocates and professionals from across America, provides a megaphone for constituents who seek to inform their Congressional delegation of the importance of senior living. Utilizing research, innovation, and personal experiences, Argentum will give you the resources to tell our story like never before.
Speakers:
Scrutiny of assisted living on Capitol Hill always neglects a cornerstone of our communities—the value they consistently provide through high satisfaction rates and cost-effective care. Defining and detailing the important work assisted living caregivers undertake each day will emphasize the need for Congress to embrace innovation in these communities instead of attacking it.
Our panel will look at how assisted living providers are partnering with health systems in delivering value-based care, as well as implementation of evidence-based practices that showcase the care and cost-effectiveness offered by these communities. The panel will also review ways that industry, federal, and state governments are driving further care innovations to put home and community-based living options at the forefront for seniors.
Speakers:
Moderator: Maggie Elehwany, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, Argentum
