The U.S. Administration on Aging is planning on offering up to eight two-year grants for evidence-based falls prevention programs.
The grants’ goals is to significantly increase the number of older adults and older adults with disabilities at risk of falls who participate in evidence-based community programs to reduce falls and fall risks. The grants also seek to implement innovative funding arrangements such as contracts with health care systems to support community-based falls prevention programs beyond the grant period while embedding the programs into a sustainable program network.
Applications are due April 6. For more information, see the agency’s announcement on the grants.gov website.
