PHOENIX—AZ MetroScapes, a commercial landscaping company based in Scottsdale, Ariz., donated more than 400 N95 respirators to Spectrum Retirement Communities’ eight properties in the Phoenix area.
Spectrum Retirement Communities is a client of AZ MetroScapes. When the novel coronavirus pandemic hit the United States, owner Hans Heitzinger knew he could do something to help.
“AZ MetroScapes has worked with Spectrum for many years, and we have a great partnership. When they reached out to see if we had any masks, we immediately checked with our suppliers and purchased what we could from them to donate to the senior living communities. We saw this as a small chance to help provide masks to people most in need. It was an easy way to do our part just as many other companies are doing across the United States,” says Heitzinger.
The mask donation was received at a critical time as coronavirus spread across the United States, and senior living properties everywhere prepare and equip themselves with proper personal protective equipment.
“We are grateful for the donation of extra N-95 masks from AZ MetroScapes. They are a valued partner of Spectrum Retirement Communities, and this donation is an example of the commitment our partners have to our residents, families, and communities. At a time where the whole country is preparing for the worst and supplies are out of stock nearly everywhere, we feel fortunate to have the equipment we need to protect our residents and team members and prevent the spread of coronavirus within our communities here in Phoenix,” shares Skyler DiStefano, regional director of operations for Spectrum Retirement Communities.
Spectrum Retirement Communities operates 48 senior living communities across 10 states, and is accepting donations for personal protective equipment, including N95 masks, gowns, and face shields. If you are able to donate medical-grade supplies, please contact Megan Hiser for details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
