In response to the recent tropical storms and hurricanes that have
affected much of the southern United States, the Centers for Medicare
& Medicaid Services (CMS) has released an updated tip sheet about
getting medical care and prescription drugs in a disaster or emergency
area. This is information senior living providers can add to their
emergency plans as well as share with residents and family members.

The CMS tip sheet, which covers topics such as getting extended
prescription supplies and seeing out-of-network physicians, is
available for download on the CMS Web site.
