Charlottesville, VA – February 15, 2023 – Commonwealth Senior Living announces that it has grown its sales and marketing team with the addition of two new hires and five promotions. April Theus has been promoted to Senior Sales Specialist, Paul Adam has been promoted to Sales Specialist, Stephanie Johnston has been named Sales Onboarding Specialist, Kimberly Wilkerson has been named Internet Sales Counselor, and Taylor Davis has been promoted to Director of Marketing & Digital Strategies. In addition to these promotions, the team also welcomed Brian Weston as our Sales Specialist in Michigan and Jennifer Walker as Sales & Marketing Project Associate.
“Over the past 21 years, Commonwealth Senior Living has consistently grown our senior living portfolio through both acquisitions and expansion, while also continually improving its support to its communities and the sophistication of systems and processes,” said Earl Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Commonwealth Senior Living. “These new hires and promotions within our Sales & Marketing Team strengthen our ability to continue that growth and improve the support that we provide to our community teams.”
April Theus, Senior Sales Specialist, joined Commonwealth Senior Living in September of 2016 as the Sales Director at Commonwealth Senior Living at Churchland House in Portsmouth, Virginia and was promoted in 2019 to a Sales Specialist position. Ms. Theus was recognized as Regional Support of the Year in 2020 and has supported nearly every community and sales team in the portfolio. She has consistently and enthusiastically demonstrated our Core Values, Noble Selling Purpose and is highly regarded throughout the company as a true culture ambassador for Commonwealth Senior Living.
Having previously served as Sales Director at Commonwealth Senior Living at Berryville, Paul Adam has been promoted to Sales Specialist. Paul joined our team in 2022 and lead the community to achieving 100% occupancy for the first time. His previous experience working in the industry and his leadership as an Executive Officer within the Army Reserves 338th Medical Brigade will serve him well as he transitions into this new influencing role.
Stephanie Johnston will be transitioning to our newly created Sales Onboarding Specialist position at Commonwealth Senior Living. Ms. Johnston joined the company in June 2018 as the Sales Director at Commonwealth Senior Living at Gloucester House and was promoted in 2022 to Sales Specialist. Stephanie’s passion for training, onboarding, and honoring our brand standards made her a natural choice to transition into this new role. Stephanie has also left her lasting impression on much of our portfolio taking on new Sales Director onboarding, creating additional training videos and auditing our Sales Peer Mentor program. In this new role, Stephanie will provide the Sales Center of Excellence training in communities during the critical first weeks of a new Sales Director’s journey on the team, oversee the Sales Peer Mentor program, and support Sales Training and ongoing coaching
Kimberly Wilkerson, Internet Sales Counselor, joined the company in March 2021 as Sales Director at Commonwealth Senior Living at the Eastern Shore. In her new role, Ms. Wilkerson will be the first point of contact for new digital leads.
Taylor Davis has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy. She joined our team shortly after the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020 as our Content Marketing Manager and it was apparent quickly, she was destined for more. She has completely repositioned our social media presence, enhanced our branding and design, and her master’s degree and intimate knowledge of digital marketing has been instrumental in our digital performance over the last two and a half years. In this new role, she will be responsible for continuing to grow and enhance Commonwealth Senior Living’s brand.
Brian Weston joined our team in the position of Sales Specialist in Michigan. He has 10 years of experience selling senior living in the greater Detroit markets
Jennifer Walker has joined Commonwealth Senior Living as the Sales & Marketing Project Associate on our Home Office team. Jennifer will support the overall functions of the Sales & Marketing team. She is joining us most recently as an Executive Assistant for the Superintendent of Greene County Schools and prior experience in web and new production with NBC. We look forward to her fresh eye on editing, proofing, and organizational skills to enhance our team.
Parker continued, “Under the leadership of our Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Kristy Ruppe Craddock, I know that April, Paul, Stephanie, Kimberly, Taylor, Brian, and Jennifer will help us fulfill our mission to improve the lives of seniors, their families and each other.”
