Frederick, MD – HHHunt, a diversified regional leader in real estate development, building and management for over 50 years, has begun construction on its newest senior living community, Spring Arbor of Frederick. Located at 6601 English Muffin Way in Frederick, this community will have the capacity to serve 109 residents and will feature both assisted living and memory care services. An official groundbreaking event for the community was held on November 9, 2017.
Spring Arbor of Frederick will be developed on a 10-acre site along the Monocacy River and near the Monocacy National Battlefield. The 110,000 square foot community is expected to open in early 2019 and represents a $32.3 million investment. In addition to the standard amenities, the community also will include life-skills programming, activity & wellness programs, fully accessible courtyards with covered seating areas, walking paths and gardening opportunities.
“HHHunt is excited to begin construction on our newest Spring Arbor community,” said Rich Williams, Senior Vice President for Senior Living at HHHunt. “Our team at Spring Arbor of Frederick will provide person-centered care through exceptional service to our residents and their loved ones. This community will continue HHHunt’s vision to improve the world and how people live by creating meaningful experiences and places of great distinction.”
Spring Arbor of Frederick is HHHunt’s third senior living community in Maryland and the second Spring Arbor community to start construction in the state this year. This community also marks the company’s 24th senior living community, joining other communities in North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.
“We are honored to serve residents and families of Frederick and look forward to being a good neighbor as we grow long term community partnerships” added Williams.
Similar to all Spring Arbor communities, there will be an emphasis on resident activities at Spring Arbor of Frederick, such as art and music programs like the successful “Art from the Heart” and “Memory and Music” programs. These vibrant programs provide residents with an outlet for their own unique creativity and allows them to enjoy meaningful communication and expressions through their art and music. Spring Arbor has also introduced Horticulture Therapy as part of its activity and wellness program.
Construction for this new community was made possible through financing from a $50 million guidance facility from SunTrust Bank.
“We have enjoyed supporting HHHunt on this project as they move forward with the new Spring Arbor community,” said Evelyn Lee, Senior Vice President of SunTrust’s Aging Services practice. “Their attention to detail shows that HHHunt is passionate about the residents they serve.”
“We are pleased with the partnership between HHHunt and SunTrust,” added Brian Myers, HHHunt Assistant Vice President of Finance and Accounting. “This will be our first assisted living and memory care project financed with the SunTrust guidance facility. Working with partners like SunTrust, we are excited for Spring Arbor’s continued expansion.”
