Freedom Shelf Innovations, Inc. is debuting their carousel storage appliance, the Zack Rack, to the senior living marketplace at the 2017 Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference. The Zack Rack aims to provide an accessibility solution for those who have physical limitations or who are simply seeking a more efficient storage system.
Currently in the prototype phase, the Zack Rack features ten shelves mounted on a carousel system designed to fit into a space regularly housed by a traditional cabinet. A ten-button panel, when activated, delivers items from varying shelving heights, both low and high, to an individual at a more convenient height. The Zack Rack’s built-in microprocessor, which manages the operation and safety of the appliance, sets it apart from its competitors.
Originally designed for individuals using mobility devices, the Zack Rack can also be used for those who are seeking a better storage solution. According to the company, the appliance allows for shelves to be fully utilized and loaded without concerns about how to access them. This provides for more efficient storage and the potential to reduce the number of traditional cabinets needed.
