VENICE, Fla.—A luxurious boutique senior living community designed to empower, engage, and support older adults in their evolving wants and needs is under construction in Venice, Fla. The 191,000-square-foot multi-story Heartis Venice will offer best-in-service independent living, assisted living, and memory care options, providing residents with enhanced independence and empowerment, support as needed, and a proprietary wellness programs. The community is slated to open in late summer 2020.

Located on Roberts Bay at 1020 N. Tamiami Trail, Venice, Fla., Heartis Venice will offer 182 spacious rental apartments in a range of floor plans. Many feature waterfront views, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, large closets and in-suite laundry. Amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, salon/spa, barber shop, and walking paths, along with an art studio, theater, game room, and business center. All-day dining is offered in multiple restaurants and venues, including a bistro, wine bar, and outdoor dining spaces. The location is near historic downtown Venice, Venice Beach and many recreational, dining and shopping attractions, as well as convenient access off Tamiami Trail to U.S. Highway 41.

The community is managed by Solvere Living, the operations management division of St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Solutions Advisors Group (SAG). “We are very excited about managing the exceptional Heartis Venice and bringing its range of living options, amenities, services and care to Venice and the surrounding region,” said Kristin Kutac Ward, president and CEO of Solutions Advisors Group. “The community’s concept, beautiful location and resources will create an engaging atmosphere where residents can continue a life well lived on their own terms.”

Developed and owned by Caddis®, a national healthcare real estate firm based in Dallas, the company launched their Heartis® senior living brand in early 2013 to reflect its mission of helping seniors live life to the fullest.

At the heart of management services for Heartis Venice are Solvere Living’s proprietary wellness philosophies Salus™ and Valeo™. Salus (Latin for well-being) is a holistic approach that focuses on each resident’s potential to achieve his or her personal goals through engagement and connection. Valeo (Latin for to thrive) focuses specifically on wellness initiatives for those with memory impairments and incorporates components that examine residents’ social, intellectual, spiritual, and physical well-being.

“Our Salus and Valeo programs are designed for successful aging by touching every aspect of residents’ lives and keeping them feeling engaged, honored and fulfilled,” Ward said. “A lot goes into aging successfully and providing an environment that supports each resident’s unique goals and a deep sense of purpose is a key component.”

The community’s many services include a 24/7 emergency call system, transportation, housekeeping, entertainment and social programs, maintenance, repairs and trash removal, and all utilities except telephone and extended cable packages.

Caddis CEO Jason L. Signor said that the firm is well known for its Heartis senior communities throughout the country and that Heartis Venice will be a wonderful new resource that seniors and their families are sure to find an attractive addition to the local community. Tami Cummings, vice president of Heartis, further expounded on the idea: “We believe every area of the country should have the opportunity to benefit from the beautiful features, amenities, stimulating environment and the attentive support and care offered by Heartis senior living communities.”

The architect for Heartis Venice is Lantz-Boggio, headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and the general contractor is Marietta, Georgia-based Freese Johnson. The community is expected to create more than 62 full time positions.
