Tatnuck Park at Worcester Senior Programs Recognized As Being the Best in the Commonwealth

Worcester, Mass. – Throughout its over 23-year history, Tatnuck Park at Worcester, a Benchmark assisted living and Mind & Memory Care community, has been known for its quality care and experiences. Last week, their commitment to being the best was again validated when it was awarded the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA) 2022 Excellence Award for Program Innovation.

Tatnuck Park’s programming director, Ellen Meagher, was recognized for creating unique, personalized programs that are not only fun and engaging for residents, but connect the entire community. Drum circle experiences, in particular, which feature movement to music, engage residents physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually and strengthen connections between residents and associates. Also, intergenerational programs with Worcester State University occupational therapy students that inspire and enrich.

Meagher brings over 15 years of senior life enrichment experience to the assisted living community. She also holds a Master’s in leisure studies from Boston University and a Bachelor’s in therapeutic recreation from Springfield College.
