Deke Cateau, CEO, A.G. Rhodes
Deke Cateau is the CEO at A.G. Rhodes, a $40 million, 500 employee nonprofit organization providing therapy and rehabilitation services, short-term recovery and long-term care at three metro Atlanta locations accommodating 400 residents. Deke has 20+ years of experience in long-term care, becoming the CEO of A.G. Rhodes after serving in various roles such as COO, chief of strategic implementation, and administrator for seven years at the organization’s flagship location in Grant Park. Prior, Deke worked at Five Star Quality Care, Inc., a national senior living communities and services provider.

Karyne Jones, President and CEO, The National Caucus and Center on Black Aging, Inc. and Chair Elect of the American Society on Aging
Karyne Jones is president and CEO of the National Caucus and Center on Black Aging (NCBA), the oldest minority aging organization in the country focused on African American seniors and other low income older populations of color. Based in Washington , DC, NCBA provides programs in training and employment opportunities, health and wellness, affordable senior housing and a strong advocate on policy and legislative issues affecting the quality of life of older Americans. Kayne is a former elected member of the Texas House of Representatives and the East Central Independent School District. She currently serves on the national boards of the Alzheimer’s Association, LeadingAge, Generations United, and as immediate past Chair of the Board for the American Society on Aging.

Mark Woodka, CEO, OnShift
Mark Woodka is the CEO of OnShift, a leader in human capital management software for post-acute care and senior living. In this role, he works closely with providers on strategic staffing initiatives to increase efficiencies and control labor costs while improving resident care. Mark has over 25 years of experience in enterprise software executive management, sales and marketing, having worked for start-up organizations as well as Fortune 500 companies. Mark has been a frequent speaker on staffing strategies for operational, financial, and quality improvements and has authored articles on long-term care trends and issues.

Moderator: Ovell Barbee, MLR/HR, SVP Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer, Spectrum Health
Ovell Barbee is SVP, human resources, and diversity officer of Spectrum Health, a $6 billion not-for-profit integrated health system based in West Michigan. Ovell is responsible for leading Spectrum Health’s talent acquisition, diversity, equity and inclusion and employee relations teams and is the lead human resources business partner for the Spectrum Health Continuing Care space. Previously, Ovell has served in human resources leadership positions at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Motorola, OnStar, General Motors, and Canadian National Railway. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by The HR Certification Institute and holds the Society of HR Managers’ Senior Certified Professional (SHRM – SCP) certification.
