2008 ALFA Hero Awards Inspire and Lead

During the ALFA Conference, the annual hero award winners were
recognized in a special ceremony. ALFA’s 2008 Hero Award recipients are
honored for their exemplary dedication and contributions to the success
of the assisted living industry. This year’s winners are:

• Caregiver: Mary O’Neill, The Gables at Winchester, Five Star Quality Care
• Executive Director: Shaun Lynch, Summerville at Farm Pond, Emeritus Senior Living
• Nurse: Kim Imhoff, Brighton Gardens of Edgewood, Sunrise Senior Living
• Staff Member: Dee Aponte, Sterling House of Fort Meyers, Brookdale Senior Living
• Volunteer: Larry Beckwith, Arborwood Living Center, Heritage Property Management

ALFA also recognized several individuals in these categories with
2008 Champion Awards. Conference events also included a special
