Last week, Argentum met with the White House Office of Public Liaison (OPL) to discuss the critical role senior living plays along the long-term care continuum. The conversation focused on how assisted living supports independence, improves quality of life, and helps reduce pressure on institutional care settings. We also highlighted the importance of advancing the Department of Veterans Affairs’ assisted living pilot program and the opportunity it presents to expand access for veterans while delivering meaningful cost savings for VA’s long-term care system.
We were encouraged by the productive dialogue and shared interest in strengthening community-based care options for older adults and veterans. We look forward to continuing our partnership with OPL into the new year through additional touch points and ongoing collaboration to advance policies that support seniors, caregivers, and the providers who serve them.
