Two retired teachers who now reside at Artis Senior Living of Potomac traded their daily routines for story time, returning to the classroom for a joyful morning of books with young listeners.
Jane Nicholl, 77, a former Wisconsin schoolteacher, and Leslie Pfiffner, 92, a former Pennsylvania schoolteacher, read to preschoolers at Wilson Lane Learning Center in Bethesda, MD.
The visit gave the longtime educators a chance to step back into work they loved, bringing back fond memories of their years in the classroom while creating a special connection across generations.
