Twenty-three high school students visited Highline Place, an Anthem Memory Care community, for a unique, hands-on learning experience to inspire and bridge generations. Students from Littleton Public Schools Explorative Pathways for Innovative Careers (EPIC) Campus created personalized Christmas memory books at the community located at 6767 S. Broadway, Littleton, CO.
The EPIC students partnered with the residents to create the memory books filled with family photos, written reflections, inspirational messages and cherished holiday stories. The keepsakes were presented to the families, capturing the spirit of the season and the power of shared memories.
The project offered students hands-on experience in interacting with older adults in a healthcare setting while introducing them to careers in counseling, caregiving and service-oriented careers.
“This collaborative project fosters meaningful connections between the students and residents,” said Jodi Cornman, senior community relations director for Highline Place. “By sharing stories and working together, both generations experience the joy of companionship and the power of reminiscence. It’s inspiring to see young people and elders come together, learn from one another, and celebrate the spirit of the holidays through lasting memories.”
