Commonwealth Senior Living Announces New CFO, Resident Care Leadership

Charlottesville, VA – January 17, 2023 – Commonwealth Senior Living announces that Mark Miyasaki has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer, Stephanie Pfingsten has joined as Senior Vice President of Resident Care, and Archie McAlexander has joined as the Director of Clinical Services. These new members of the leadership team bolster Commonwealth’s finance and resident care teams as it continues to grow its portfolio and seeks to provide the best possible support to its communities within the Eastern United States.

As Chief Financial Officer, Mark Miyasaki will oversee financial operations for all Commonwealth communities and the management company. He brings over 20 years of experience in managing the financials and operations of senior living communities and real estate. Mr. Miyasaki has expertise in the financial planning and analysis process, internal and external financial reporting, proforma preparation, budgeting and forecasting, and investor relations. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Sodalis Senior Living.

Stephanie Pfingsten joins Commonwealth Senior Living as Senior Vice President of Resident Care. She has over 21 years of experience in nursing system development and implementation, healthcare operations, practice management, and nursing engagement. Ms. Pfingsten earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Human Development and Family Studies from University of Missouri-Columbia, and her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from the University of Missouri- St. Louis. She most recently served at Charter Senior Living, as the Vice President of Health & Wellness.

Archie McAlexander, Director of Clinical Services, was most recently the Director of Care Transformation and Quality with Charter Senior Living. Archie was also Divisional Director of Care Management for Atria Senior Living for 8 years.
