Commonwealth Cares Has Distributed More than $1 million in Financial Support
Charlottesville, VA – October 27, 2025 – Commonwealth Senior Living announces that held its annual Commonwealth Cares Golf Tournament on October 6, 2025. The tournament, which is celebrating its nineth year, brings together associates, sponsors, and Professional Partners to support Commonwealth Senior Living’s Commonwealth Cares 501(c)(3) foundation, which provides financial assistance to associates and their families during life’s most challenging moments. This year, the annual golf tournament was renamed the Ashley Williams Memorial Commonwealth Cares Golf Tournament in honor of Ashley Williams, the former Director of Administrative Services at the company who tragically lost her life days before this year’s event.
Earl Parker, President and CEO of Commonwealth Senior Living, shared, “Ashley was so much more than a coworker for 17 years. She was the heart of our company and the one who would get anything done. From planning events to caring and listening, she always did it with a smile and a word of encouragement. She was the person we all turned to professionally and personally, a loyal friend and trusted confidant, and a source of light and calm, no matter how busy things got. She was also a member of the Commonwealth Cares committee since its inception, demonstrating her passion for helping other CSL associates.”
Richard Brewer, Founder of Commonwealth Senior Living, added, “She really was a wonderful woman on this Earth. She loved the company deeply. She cares about each of us, and we’re going to do what we need to do to take care of her kids and give back for all that she’s done.”
Commonwealth Cares was founded in 2016 and is a reflection of Commonwealth Senior Living’s Core Values. Whether facing a medical emergency, a housing challenge, or losing a loved one, Commonwealth Cares offers hope and tangible support to associates when it’s needed most.
