Certification Honors Employers who Create an Outstanding Employee Experience

Charlottesville, VA – April 25, 2024 – Commonwealth Senior Living announces that it has received the Great Place to Work® recognition for the sixth consecutive year. Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation. The certification recognizes employers who create an outstanding employee experience through employee feedback surveys and an independent analysis.

“Being recognized as a Great Place to Work® is extremely important to me because at Commonwealth Senior Living, we believe that our people are what set us apart from our competition,” said Earl Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Commonwealth Senior Living. “Based on this belief, it is critically important that our associates feel valued, supported, and overall trust our organization to do the right them for each of them and for the residents that we all serve. The Great Place to Work® certification is based on these principles.  We are excited to achieve the certification, but we are also excited to have the feedback so that we can continue to try and improve a little bit each and every day.”

According to Great Place to Work® research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits, and have a fair chance at promotion.

Because employee feedback and independent analysis determine the scores, Certification helps job seekers identify which companies genuinely offer a great company culture.

Certification gives employers a recruiting advantage by providing a globally recognized and research-backed verification of great employee experience.

Parker continued, “Over the past 22 years, Commonwealth Senior Living has built a national reputation for providing award-winning services and care to our residents. As we continue to grow, we are launching innovative strategies to attract, grow, and retain talented professionals in the senior living industry. This certification is a testament to our updated strategic vision to provide our community teams with the best possible support.”
