ATLANTA—After nearly tripling its business in five years, Guardian Pharmacy of Southeast Florida recently relocated its headquarters to a larger facility in Boca Raton.
The new state-of-the-art 20,000-square foot building, almost double the size of Guardian’s former location in Deerfield Beach, allows the long-term care (LTC) pharmacy to increase its workforce and operations to better support the assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities it serves across the region, from Miami to Vero Beach and westward to Naples.
“With the dramatic increase in demand for our expertise and service, we needed to be able to accommodate our growing workforce and newest technology,” said Alan Traster, president of Guardian Pharmacy of Southeast Florida.
“At a time when protecting and caring for our seniors is more important than ever, this facility puts us in an even better position to help our customers deliver the highest quality of resident care.”
With the relocation, Guardian anticipates expanding the number of employees by nearly 10 percent in the coming months. The pharmacy also has heavily invested in additional technology like the new TCGRX compliance strip packaging system which increases accuracy, accountability and simplifies the distribution of medications to residents.
Founded in 2004, Guardian Pharmacy of Southeast Florida is part of Guardian Pharmacy Services, one of the nation’s largest LTC pharmacy companies. With six additional locations in Florida (Daytona, Jacksonville, Northwest Florida, Orlando, Southwest Florida, and Tampa), Guardian Pharmacy Services provides coverage to LTC communities across the state.
