Learning, Connecting and Leading: Spring LEAD Cohort Comes Together in Nashville

[current_event_date]

The Spring 2026 participants in Argentum’s Leadership Advancement & Development (LEAD) program have spent the past several months strengthening their leadership skills, learning from one another, and exploring how they can help shape the future of senior living.

In May, the cohort had an opportunity to bring that experience to life at the Senior Living Executive Conference in Nashville. Participants took full advantage of the conference, attending educational sessions, hearing from senior living executives and innovators, and gaining new perspectives they could bring back to their organizations.

Of course, the experience was not limited to the conference sessions. LEAD is also about building lasting professional relationships, and Nashville provided plenty of opportunities for the cohort to connect, compare experiences, exchange ideas, and enjoy the conference’s social events together.

Argentum hosted a special happy hour for the group, giving participants dedicated time to relax, continue their conversations, and strengthen the relationships they have developed throughout the program. The cohort also gathered for a working session focused on applying what they have learned and preparing for the final phase of their LEAD experience.

From Conference Insights to Capstone Ideas

The Senior Living Executive Conference offered an ideal learning environment for the cohort. Participants were able to hear directly from industry leaders, examine the trends and challenges influencing senior living, and consider how those ideas could inform their own leadership approaches and capstone projects.

Throughout the 16-week LEAD program, participants engage in interactive learning, peer-to-peer discussion, mentorship, and practical leadership development. The conference gave them an additional opportunity to connect those lessons to the larger senior living landscape.

Turning Learning into Action

The Spring cohort’s experience culminated with capstone presentations held June 16 and 17. Participants used the presentations to demonstrate how they had applied the lessons, leadership strategies, and perspectives developed throughout the program.

The capstones represent an important part of LEAD: turning professional development into practical action that can benefit participants, their organizations, their teams, and the residents and families they serve.

Nominate a Future Senior Living Leader by August 3

The Spring cohort’s experience is a reminder of what can happen when emerging leaders are given the time, tools, mentorship, and professional network they need to grow.

Argentum is now accepting nominations for the next LEAD cohort. Company CEOs, COOs, and senior human resources leaders are encouraged to identify promising professionals who are ready to expand their leadership capabilities, build relationships across the industry, and prepare for their next level of responsibility.

Nominations must be submitted by August 3, 2026.
