DELRAY BEACH, FL – August 7, 2025 – Lifespace Communities, one of the nation’s top 10 largest nonprofit senior living organizations, is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of its new assisted living and memory care expansion at Harbour’s Edge in Delray Beach, Florida. The $49 million expansion project will add 24 assisted living apartments and 16 memory care apartments, strengthening the community’s continuum of care and expanding access to vital support services for both current residents and the greater local community. 
“This expansion represents our continued commitment to supporting the evolving needs of older adults with thoughtful, high-quality care in an environment that feels like home,” said Jesse Jantzen, president and CEO of Lifespace Communities. “We’re proud to expand the care setting options at Harbour’s Edge, ensuring residents have the environments they need to thrive in a community they know and love.”
The new expansion at Harbour’s Edge will seamlessly complement the community’s iconic international style architecture, preserving its distinctive aesthetic while introducing thoughtfully designed spaces to support residents’ well-being. Planned amenities include an exterior memory garden with a walking path, a third-floor terrace for assisted living residents, a spa, bar, wellness gym, and dedicated dining rooms, kitchens, and activity spaces for both assisted living and memory care residents.

A ceremonial groundbreaking event will take place on Wednesday, August 20 from 2-3pm with members of the media and the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce invited to attend. The expansion is expected to be completed by August 2026.
