COLUMBIA, Md.—LifeSpan President Kevin Heffner was recently appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board in Maryland. The board focuses on two key priorities:
developing a properly prepared workforce to meet the current and future demands of Maryland employers and providing opportunities for all Marylanders to succeed in the modern workforce.
One of LifeSpan’s priorities is helping members tackle the current shortage of qualified workers to fill vital healthcare positions. Heffner’s appointment will ensure that LifeSpan remains abreast of the policies and strategies being developed to address workforce demands. It will also guarantee that member concerns are represented at the highest levels of Maryland government.
