IRVINE, Calif.—MBK Senior Living (MSL), a provider of independent, assisted living and memory care communities throughout the Western United States, has named Michael Bardelmeier senior vice president of operations, and Kristen Curran-Brookham regional director of sales.
Bardelmeier will oversee the company’s 32 independent, assisted living, and memory care communities located throughout the western United States.

Bardelmeier joins MBK Senior Living from Meridian, where he served as the west coast divisional vice president of operations, and managed nearly 30 senior living communities. Bardelmeier began his career in the senior living industry in 2009 with Holiday Retirement, where he held a regional director of operations and vice president of operations, west division positions. Prior to his senior living operations experience, Bardelmeier worked in the development and management of multi-family properties throughout the United States.
“Michael brings extensive experience in operational leadership, capital, and operational budget management and in cultivating a culture of teamwork,
continuous quality improvement, and accountability,” added Fischer.

In addition to his career experience, Bardelmeier serves on the workforce development committee for the California Assisted Living Association (CALA). The goal of the committee is to develop pathways for young professionals in the senior living industry and attract new employees to the workforce.
Regional director of sales Curran-Brookham will oversee the sales and marketing efforts of the company’s nine Colorado and Utah communities.

According to Curran-Brookham, she discovered her passion for senior living 13 years ago when she left clinical nursing to accept a position as a director of resident care at a senior living community. She quickly became interested in all aspects of senior living. Through the course of her career she has supported independent, assisted living and memory care communities in 15 states, and held the roles of executive director, regional director of sales & marketing, regional director of resident care and director of resident programming.
“The various roles I’ve held has helped me to fully understand not just what needs to be done to support our residents and their families, but how to make it happen,” said Curran-Brookham.
