Élan Westpointe, an assisted living and memory care community in New Braunfels, is welcoming Candace Scarcliff LVN as their new Executive Director and Tricia Carson as their new Community Relations Director.
Candace started her career as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), and has been a nurse for over 40 years. She found her niche working with seniors for 20 of those years in various capacities, including Wellness Director, Executive Director, and Regional Director of Operations.
“I have been afforded the privilege to help seniors and make each day better than the day before for them,” she shares.
Candace has an extensive background in memory care as well, having worked as a national memory care instructor.
“While I have had many titles and hold many certifications, I find nothing more satisfying than rolling up my sleeves and helping wherever I am needed. I love making a difference every day, however, it is the residents that I serve who make such a positive impact on my life, more than they realize with their life stories.”
Before becoming Community Relations Director in December 2022, Tricia was an educational diagnostician for the New Braunfels Independent School District and most recently a hospice care consultant for Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care.
“I am excited and honored to be a part of Élan Westpointe,” says Tricia. “It is a thriving and vibrant community, ready for families who require assisted living or memory care services from a passionate team of people.”
