New RUI Community, The Westmont at Short Pump, Moving Toward Opening

[current_event_date]

SHORT PUMP, Va.—Retirement Unlimited, Inc. (RUI), a family-owned and Virginia-based Senior Living Community management company, hosted a sneak peek and sign the beam event to announce the opening of The Westmont at Short Pump sales gallery. Representatives of the RUI leadership team and The Westmont at Short Pump team attended, and in lieu of a larger gathering, a Facebook Live tour of the community took place. To close the event, the attendees participated in a brief signing of the beam ceremony led by RUI president, Doris-Ellie Sullivan.

“During a time when the senior living industry is seeing its fair share of struggles, we are excited to have the ability to continue to move forward with growing our company and providing opportunities in new areas throughout Virginia,” said Sullivan. “This community represents a 40 million-plus investment in the Short Pump area, bringing 150 new job opportunities with health benefits, 401k match, and relocation packages. In addition, the area will experience the economic impact of the spending power of 140 new residents moving to the area, not including the nearly 150 construction jobs already associated with the project.”

The Westmont at Short Pump Community is in the thriving area of Short Pump, Virginia and features 123 elegantly designed studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments for independent living, assisted living, and Inspiritás, RUI’s vision and adaptation for memory care. The spacious rooms feature private bathrooms, wood and carpeted flooring, ample closets space, washer and dryer in most residences, ceiling fans, white cabinetry, quartz countertops, and stainless-steel appliances.

Residents will have an array of amenities and life enrichment areas to experience, including a library, a theater, billiards and game rooms, a coffee shop, and a fitness and wellness center. They will also have the opportunity to engage their minds in lifelong learning through courses provided by RUI University instructed by subject matter experts in a designated classroom. A full-service salon and spa—Luxe Unlimited—with a nail technician, hair stylist, esthetician, and massage therapist is available. Each floor has unique social gathering and lounge areas as well as wellness centers with 24/7 on-site licensed nurses. For special occasions, a private gathering lounge has been designed for small groups meetings or meals. Residents will enjoy a restaurant fine dining experience prepared by the executive chef and sous chef in the formal dining room. For a more casual experience, residents can lounge, eat, and enjoy the atmosphere of the bistro. The outside courtyard area offers seating and dining as well as a dog park. For residents who drive, ample parking and a car charging station is available.

Inspiritás, RUI’s vision and adaptation for memory care, is located in a secure and private area within the community. With 30 apartments, Inspiritás residents will have dedicated and specially trained staff ensuring life enriching activities and care are provided specifically for their individual memory care needs. Inspiritás residents will enjoy the same restaurant fine dining experience in their private dining room, as well as their own private courtyard and outdoor seating.

The Westmont at Short Pump team is taking appointments to further discuss options and specific opportunities to potential residents’ unique needs.
