PHILADELPHIA—Margie Zelenak, executive director of the Pennsylvania Assisted Living Association (PALA), has been named to the Pennsylvania Healthcare Power 100 in recognition of her efforts to improve care, accessibility, and options for the state’s seniors. The Power 100 list is issued by City & State Pennsylvania magazine.
“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Zelenak has been a vocal advocate for seniors, encouraging prioritized vaccinations for the state’s elderly community,” the magazine reads, “while routinely stressing the importance of increased funding for personal care homes and assisted living facilities.”
Among her other accomplishments, Zelenak is also secretary of the Argentum State Partners Executive Committee and a member of the Governor’s Joint COVID Vaccine Task Force Aging Subcommittee.
