Grapevine, Texas — Pegasus Senior Living is continuing at a fast and strategic pace to serve more seniors and families across the Texas Triangle with the addition of 10 communities located throughout Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), and the Austin-San Marcos corridor, with Healthpeak as the capital partner.
Pegasus will now serve a total of 56 communities, 25 of which are strategically positioned across Texas, offering a variety of independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. Founded in 2018, Pegasus launched its original portfolio and has since grown its platform through long-term partnerships, disciplined operations, and a focus on supporting residents, families, and team members.
“Growth only matters if it strengthens the experience for residents and families,” said Chris Hollister, Chair, Co-founder, and CEO of Pegasus Senior Living. “This expansion aligns with our strategy of building strong senior living continuums within and across the Texas Triangle, connecting Houston, North Texas, and Central Texas through a coordinated operating platform. As we welcome these communities through a new partnership, our responsibility remains the same: Show up, do the work well, and take care of people the right way.”
“We also recently took over management of two freestanding memory care communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth market for LTC REIT,” Chris adds. “Pegasus will now have a more integrated series of offerings, from independent living to assisted living and memory care, further strengthening our continuum across North Texas and reinforcing our broader Texas Triangle strategy.”
For Houston, with the completion of this transaction, Pegasus will operate approximately 2,000 senior living units, providing residents and families access to an integrated network of care options. The Houston portfolio now includes five independent living communities and four assisted living and memory care communities strategically located throughout the city and its surrounding suburbs.
In addition to the growth, Pegasus is also unveiling two central thematic brands for Texas communities to differentiate their services. Pegasus Preserve is for select locations that primarily offer independent living. Pegasus Landing will be for several assisted living and memory care communities.
