Pegasus Senior Living Joins Walk to End Alzheimer’s as National Member, Rallying Communities Coast to Coast

DALLAS, TX — A Dallas-based senior living company is turning miles into money for Alzheimer’s research after joining the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® as a national member.

Pegasus Senior Living, which manages independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities across the country, now walks with the Alzheimer’s Association in the world’s largest event raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

Pegasus communities have joined local walks in past years. National membership brings those efforts under one company banner, rallying team members and families to form teams, fundraise, and walk at events nationwide. Funds raised support the association’s 24/7 Helpline and clinical trials focused on risk reduction.

An estimated 7.4 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s in 2026, according to the Alzheimer’s Association.

“Walk to End Alzheimer’s gives every Pegasus community an additional way to show up for the families we serve,” said Chris Hollister, Co-founder, Chair, and CEO for Pegasus Senior Living. “Our teams already walk these miles every day in our memory care communities. Now we are going to walk them together, across the country, and put real dollars toward care, support and research.”

“As a clinician and advocate for older adults, I have witnessed both the challenges and the remarkable strength of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia,” said Dr. Sandra Petersen, Senior Vice President of Health and Wellness for Pegasus Senior Living. “Every step taken during the Alzheimer’s Walk helps raise awareness, support families, and advance research that brings us closer to better treatments and ultimately, a cure. I hope everyone will join us in walking for a future filled with hope.”

Local media are invited to speak with Pegasus Senior Living leadership about the company’s national membership and how communities nationwide will take part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
