(Alexandria, Va.)—Opening its 2021 Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo, Argentum honored those who care for older adults at the Argentum Awards and Heroes Work Here Celebration, presented by Benchmark, Monday, Sept. 13, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Emceed by actress, author, and advocate Marcia Gay Harden, the program included a video tribute to the tremendous dedication and care exhibited by those working at senior living communities across the country during the challenges brought on by COVID-19.

 

Heroes Work Here Video Tribute

Celebrating the efforts of the industry’s heroic workforce during COVID-19. This video premiered at the 2021 Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo in Phoenix on September 13, 2021.

The ceremony also marked the 2021 Best of the Best Awards, recognizing innovative programs, products, and services that solve a challenge, advance excellence, and improve the future of senior living; and the 2021 Senior Living by Design awards, an annual program honoring architects, design firms, and senior living providers that create communities of quality in innovative ways.

“It was vital to use this opportunity at the Senior Living Executive Conference to recognize and share inspiring stories of the heroes who went above and beyond each and every day to ensure the safety and well-being of their residents through unique and enhanced services and activities during the most challenging of times,” said James Balda, president and CEO, Argentum. “They played a tremendous role in helping to keep senior living residents healthy, hopeful, and connected to friends and loved ones. Many of the innovative programs, technologies, and designs honored tonight were launched during the pandemic and will continue to influence senior living for years to come.”

2021 Senior Living by Design Awards

The Argentum Senior Living by Design Awards, open to members and non-members, honor architects, design firms, and senior living providers that achieve innovative architecture in senior living communities. The 2021 honorees include:
