ST. LOUIS—ProTeam has recently conducted a study on how cordless cleaning impacts senior living communities. In one example, at Cadence Living Marietta, in Georgia, ProTeam’s FreeFlex cordless upright vacuum was measured against the community’s current corded upright.
In the community’s five common areas and 88 individual residences, the result was a savings of 10 hours daily cleaning time. The productivity increase was 68 percent in the lobby area and 49 percent in the office.
Cleaning workers also commented on the importance of removing the tripping hazard of a cord. “I was able to clean with no trip hazard,” said Judith Reid, a cleaner at the community. “This unit was more efficient, it cleaned and picked up well, and you could reach under the bed with it, unlike the other vacuum. It’s a good product that I would recommend.”
Another cleaner, D’Micah Beard, said that “working without a cord was great. This vacuum is stronger and lighter than what we are using. It’s a great vacuum, I wish I had one to keep.”
