Ready for What’s Next: Senior Living Leaders Gather in Austin

[current_event_date]

Senior living leaders spend every day making decisions about what needs to happen now. This November in Austin, the Senior Living Leadership Summit offers something equally important: the opportunity to focus on what needs to happen next.

Leadership in senior living increasingly means navigating several priorities at once. Workforce pressures persist. Technology is changing how organizations operate. Consumer expectations are evolving. Capital decisions are becoming more complex. And growing demand is raising important questions about how the industry will expand to serve the next generation of older adults.

From November 16–18, the 2026 Senior Living Leadership Summit will bring senior living owners, operators, investors and executives together at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas, for three days designed to help leaders step back from immediate demands, see what is changing and make more informed decisions about what comes next.

Look Beyond Today

This year’s Summit is built around four leadership imperatives: Explore. Understand. Innovate. Commit. The progression is designed to move executives from recognizing the forces changing senior living to considering how they can respond and where they are prepared to act.

And those conversations could not come at a more consequential time.

Attendees will examine issues with direct implications for the future of their organizations, including demographic demand and the development pipeline, changing consumer expectations, workforce, technology, capital and growth. Programming will also examine the increasing political and regulatory scrutiny surrounding private capital and senior housing.

Keynote speaker Bill Gifford will add another perspective with a forward-looking discussion about how baby boomers are reshaping expectations for senior living, including what those changes could mean for community design, programming, admissions and daily operations.

The Conversations Leaders Rarely Have Time For

The Summit is about more than understanding trends. Its value also comes from having the right people together to talk honestly about what those trends mean.

A conversation with another operator might reveal a different approach to workforce. An exchange with a capital partner could change how a growth opportunity is evaluated. A discussion about technology might challenge an assumption about where investment should come next.

Those candid exchanges are a central part of the Summit experience, giving senior leaders opportunities to build relationships, compare approaches and learn from peers confronting many of the same decisions.

Return Ready to Act

Ultimately, the value of three days in Austin will be measured by what happens afterward.

The goal is to return home with greater clarity about the forces affecting senior living, stronger relationships across the industry and practical ideas that can inform the next workforce strategy, technology investment, capital decision or growth opportunity.

Step back. Look ahead. Make the next decision with greater confidence.

With the Summit now just two weeks away, the opportunity to be part of these conversations is quickly approaching.
