Representative Julia Brownley (D-CA) recently visited Silverado Thousand Oaks Memory Care Community. During her visit, Rep. Brownley had the opportunity to speak with several residents. Administrator Rob Babasanta, Regional Director of Operations Taylor Giunto and Director of Health Services Heather Hampel spent time educating Rep. Brownley and her team on Assisted Living and Memory Care and how they partner with other Assisted Living providers to ensure residents find the care best suited for their needs and preferences. Other discussions centered around the value of Assisted Living and its role in the long-term care continuum. The team at Silverado thanked Rep. Brownley for voting to pass the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act which establishes a three-year pilot program to furnish Assisted Living services to certain veterans.
