Roanoke, VA – August 12, 2024. – Dr. Cleopatra Kitt has been appointed to the Virginia Board of Nursing by Governor Glenn Youngkin. Dr. Kitt currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Leadership Development at Retirement Unlimited, Inc. (RUI) and is an appointed member of the Virginia Commonwealth Council of Aging.
Dr. Kitt has been with the RUI legacy company for the past 27 years where she began as an Administrator in Training (AIT) and worked her way up through various positions such as Administrator, Vice President of Operations, Director of Special Projects, Executive Director of Lifeworks Services, LIMITLESS Intern Coordinator, and now holds the title of Senior Vice President of Leadership Development. As a first-generation college student, she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration, her master’s degree in public health, and her PhD in healthcare administration. She is an active member of her community in Roanoke, Virginia as the President of the local Roanoke chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the President of Ivies Inc. of the Roanoke Valley.
