Senator Young Visits Priority Life Care Community

[current_event_date]

U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-IN) visited a senior living community in Fishers, Indiana last week. The community tour provided an opportunity for Senator Young to meet with seniors and caregivers, and to discuss critical policy issues facing long-term care, including the lack of retirement savings and inadequacy of existing public programs to meet the needs of seniors as they begin to need care. Senator Young shared our concerns and agreed in the need to incentivize saving for long-term care through existing tax-advantaged accounts like 529 education plans. We sincerely appreciate Lake Meadows Senior Assisted Living, Priority Life Care, and Bobby Petras for their generous hospitality in hosting this event.

For communities interested in hosting a visit of their own, Argentum’s Community Visits with Lawmakers Toolkit offers practical guidance to help make the process easier.
