(CHICAGO, Illinois, Oct. 10, 2022) — Senior Lifestyle recently promoted Richard Tournesy to operations area manager. In his new role, Tournesy will support operations for 21 senior living communities located throughout Florida, California, Arizona, Oregon and Georgia.
Prior to his promotion, Tournesy served 3½ years as executive director of The Carlisle Palm Beach, a 281-capacity Senior Lifestyle community in Lantana, Florida that offers independent living, assistant living and memory care housing and services. In his role as executive director, Tournesy managed nearly 200 employees and expanded gross revenue for the community by 42 percent in a one-year period.

Tournesy has nearly 30 years of experience in the senior living industry. Before joining Senior Lifestyle in 2019, he worked as an operations specialist for Validus Senior Living. Tournesy also previously worked as executive director for Brookdale Senior Living for three years and in several leadership positions, including senior executive director and regional dining services director, during a 20-year stint at Sunrise Senior Living.

Tournesy has an associate degree in hospitality management from Union College in Cranford, New Jersey.
