Senior Living Advocacy in Action

[current_event_date]

Policy decisions made in Washington directly affect how senior living communities operate, staff, grow, and care for residents. This February, senior living leaders from across the country will gather on Capitol Hill for Argentum’s Public Policy Fly-In, a focused, high-impact advocacy experience designed to ensure our industry’s voice is heard where it matters most.

If senior living isn’t in the room, others will define our story for us. This is our moment to show lawmakers what high-quality senior living truly looks like, and why it matters to millions of residents, families, and caregivers nationwide.

Why Your Voice Matters Right Now

No one tells the senior living story better than the people living it every day. From Executive Directors and community leaders to corporate teams and frontline staff, your experiences bring policy conversations to life.

At the Public Policy Fly-In, you’ll help lawmakers understand the real-world impact of issues such as:

  • Workforce shortages and rising operating costs

  • Innovation that keeps residents safe, engaged, and thriving

  • Supporting families through some of life’s most important decisions

Members of Congress and their staff want to understand what’s happening in your communities, but they need to hear it directly from you. During the Fly-In, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Share real stories from your community

  • Explain how federal and state policies play out on the ground

  • Highlight senior living’s positive impact on residents, families, and local economies

These conversations influence how policymakers think about regulation, workforce programs, reimbursement, and long-term investment in senior living.

High-Impact Advocacy Designed for Busy Leaders

We know your time is valuable. That’s why the 2026 Public Policy Fly-In is intentionally designed as a one-day, high-impact experience in Washington, DC.

In a single day, you will:

  • Receive briefings on the most pressing public policy issues facing senior living

  • Learn how to effectively communicate with legislators and their staff

  • Participate in meetings on Capitol Hill to share your story directly

  • Connect with peers who are equally committed to advancing the industry

No policy background required. If you can talk about what’s working, what’s challenging, and what your residents and teams need—you’re ready to advocate.
