IRVINE, Ca.—Silverado has announced development of a new memory care community in Summerlin, Nev., a master-planned community on the west side of Las Vegas. The community is projected to open in early 2022, and will support 72 residents.
Summerlin will be Silverado’s first community in Nevada. The community of Summerlin, which lies at the edge of the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon to the west, is a growth area that consistently ranks among the top communities in the U.S. for new home sales.
A key aspect of daily care will be the Nexus at Silverado early-stage brain health program. Academic research has validated that participants in Nexus at Silverado showed a statistically significant 60 percent improvement in cognition when compared to those without such treatment.
The community’s buildup and opening will be overseen by Tana McMillon, Silverado regional vice president of operations. Tana has been with Silverado for more than 20 years in a number of roles, including administrator, national operations specialist and regional vice president of operations.
