WWII Hero and Purple Heart Recipient Celebrated for a Life of Courage and Perseverance

Private Brewton Jr. bravely served his country during World War II, fighting valiantly in the pivotal Battle of Saint-Lô. During the conflict, he suffered severe injuries and was not expected to survive. Defying the odds, Private Brewton Jr. made a full recovery and was awarded the prestigious Purple Heart Medal in recognition of his extraordinary sacrifice and resilience. He was married for an incredible 79 years, raised four children, is a proud greatgreat-grandfather, and remains a devoted member of Brownsville Church.
