“Step Right Up and Learn It All” was the theme of this year’s Oklahoma Senior Living Association annual convention and trade show. The convention took place in Oklahoma City and attracted a vibrant mix of senior living professionals, care providers, policy advocates, and industry partners from across the region. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a series of educational sessions, interactive workshops, and networking events all designed to foster professional growth and support the ever-evolving needs of senior living communities.

Maggie Elehwany, Argentum’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy, delivered crucial insights into how current and proposed federal policies—ranging from regulatory changes to funding mechanisms—are shaping the senior living landscape not only in Oklahoma, but nationwide. Her address encouraged open dialogue, as participants raised questions about pressing legislative priorities, including workforce development, reimbursement rates, and strategies for ensuring high standards of care.

Beyond policy, the trade show floor buzzed with innovation. Exhibitors showcased the latest advancements in technology, wellness programs, and resident engagement solutions. From adaptive equipment demonstrations to new models in memory care, the event celebrated creativity and collaboration, highlighting how senior living continues to adapt to the changing needs of older adults and their families.

Throughout the conference, Melissa Holland and her organizing team were widely praised for their meticulous planning and welcoming atmosphere. Their efforts ensured that every attendee, whether a first-time guest or a seasoned professional, found value in the sessions, built new connections, and left inspired to elevate the quality of senior living in their own communities.

“This is an excellent conference and trade show – both informative and fun. Melissa Holland and her team do a fantastic job and Argentum is honored to participate,” said Elehwany.

As the event drew to a close, there was a palpable sense of optimism and renewed commitment among participants. They returned home armed with fresh knowledge, best practices, and a shared mission: to enrich the lives of seniors across Oklahoma and beyond.
