CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—Commonwealth Senior Living has announced that The Village at Harbor Pointe will join its growing family of communities and begin operating today as Commonwealth Senior Living of Salisbury. Formerly owned and operated by Sterling Care, the community is located at 611 Tressler Drive in Salisbury, Md. This marks Commonwealth’s 34th community in the portfolio and its fourth community in Maryland.

The community currently features 12 independent living cottages, 26 assisted living beds, and 10 memory care beds. Starting later this year, Commonwealth will begin an extensive $6.75 million renovation and expansion of the community to expand its capacity to 44 assisted living and 32 memory care beds, along with the 12 independent living cottages.
In addition to renovating and expanding the community, Commonwealth will be introducing its signature programs at Salisbury including the award-winning Sweet Memories Alzheimer’s and dementia program, Farm to Table dining, and Commonwealth’s interactive communication tool, SMILE ™, among others.
