The webinar will bring together experts in aging policy, housing, nutrition, and long-term services and supports to examine these interconnected issues and discuss policy solutions that can help meet the needs of a rapidly aging population. Panelists will highlight persistent gaps in current systems, explore innovative approaches emerging at the state level, and identify evidence-based strategies to strengthen support for older Americans.
This event marks the first webinar in BPC’s new multi-year Aging of America Initiative, which will examine the policy changes needed to address the opportunities and challenges associated with the nation’s changing demographics. These challenges affect not only older adults and their families, but also the broader healthcare system and economy. Limited access to care, housing, and nutrition can lead to poorer health outcomes, increase reliance on public programs, and place additional burdens on family caregivers.
