Charlottesville, Va. – August 15, 2022 – Commonwealth Senior Living announces its entry into the Michigan market with the addition of three newly renovated senior living communities. Prestige Commons in New Baltimore, MI, Addington Place at Grand Rapids and Addington Place at East Paris, both in Grand Rapids, MI will join Commonwealth Senior Living effective September 1, 2022. The communities will be rebranded as Commonwealth Senior Living at New Baltimore, Commonwealth Senior Living at Grand Rapids, and Commonwealth Senior Living at East Paris, respectively. These new communities mark Commonwealth Senior Living’s first entry into the Michigan market.

Commonwealth Senior Living at New Baltimore is located at 33503 23 Mile Road in New Baltimore, Michigan. The community is wrapping up a $6.5 million complete renovation of the community which includes a two-story addition with 18-additional units and enlarged common areas. After completion of the expansion, which is expected in September of this year, the community will feature 45 assisted living beds and 23 memory care beds.
Commonwealth Senior Living at Grand Rapids is located at 1175 68th Street, SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A $5.5 million renovation is currently under way and will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year. Projects include a new lobby/entrance with a new porte-cochère, which will connect the two existing buildings and renovations of all common areas and suites. Upon completion, the community will feature 50 assisted living beds and 36 memory care beds.
Commonwealth Senior Living at East Paris is located at 3956 Whispering Way Drive, SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A $10 million complete renovation is underway which includes a new lobby/entrance with a new porte-cochère, connectors between all buildings, and renovations/updates to all common areas and suites/apartments. After construction is completed in the fourth quarter of this year, the community will offer 36 independent living apartments, 54 assisted living beds, and 30 memory care beds.
In addition to renovating and expanding each community, Commonwealth will be introducing its signature programs including the award-winning Sweet Memories Alzheimer’s and dementia program, Farm to Table dining, and Commonwealth’s interactive communication tool, SMILE ™, among others.
