LEAD Capstone Projects Turn Leadership Development into Industry Impact

[current_event_date]

Spring cohort presentations demonstrate how emerging leaders are applying new skills, tackling real challenges and contributing meaningful solutions to senior living.

The most valuable leadership development programs do more than teach. They create opportunities for leaders to put what they have learned into action. That is exactly what happens through Argentum’s LEAD program.

The Spring 2026 LEAD cohort recently completed and released videos of its Capstone Project presentations. These projects are far more than a final program assignment. They demonstrate how LEAD participants collaborate, think strategically and apply their growing leadership skills to real opportunities and challenges facing senior living.

They also answer one of the most important questions any professional or employer should ask before investing in leadership development: What will we gain from this experience?

Leadership Development with an Immediate Return

LEAD is designed to help emerging leaders build the confidence, perspective and practical skills they need to take the next step in their careers. Participants engage in interactive sessions, cohort discussions, independent assignments and a Capstone Group Project—all structured to move leadership development from theory into practice. Explore the LEAD program and Spring Capstone presentations.

Through their capstone work, participants have the opportunity to examine an issue that matters to the senior living industry, work alongside peers from other organizations and develop ideas that can help move the field forward.

That experience delivers value on several levels.

For participants, it is an opportunity to:

  • Strengthen strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Gain experience collaborating with professionals beyond their own organization.
  • Explore industry challenges from new perspectives.
  • Practice communicating and presenting ideas with clarity and confidence.
  • Build relationships with a network of emerging senior living leaders.
  • Demonstrate their readiness for greater responsibility.

For employers, the return extends well beyond the individual participant. Organizations gain a more capable and connected leader, someone who returns with new ideas, a broader understanding of the industry and practical insights that can be applied within the workplace.

LEAD also gives employers a meaningful way to recognize high-potential professionals and demonstrate that their growth is worth investing in. At a time when retaining talented employees and building a strong leadership pipeline are critical priorities, that investment can be especially powerful.

Participants are Not Just Learning.. They are Contributing.

One of the greatest strengths of the capstone experience is that it positions participants as contributors to the program and to the wider senior living field. Each leader brings personal experience, organizational knowledge and a unique point of view to the cohort. When those perspectives come together, participants learn from one another while creating work that can spark new conversations, inspire different approaches and help others across the industry.

The newly released Spring cohort presentations offer a firsthand look at that process. They show leaders doing more than absorbing information. They are asking thoughtful questions, exploring solutions, sharing their expertise and adding to the collective knowledge of senior living.

That distinction matters. LEAD is not simply a program that professionals complete. It is an experience in which they actively participate, contribute and grow.

Who in Your Organization is Ready to LEAD?

The next generation of senior living leaders is already working within our organizations. They may be managing teams, improving operations, strengthening workplace culture, developing new programs or quietly demonstrating that they are capable of much more.

A nomination for LEAD tells that person: We see your potential. We value what you contribute. We are willing to invest in where you can go next. It also gives your organization an opportunity to develop talent before that talent begins looking elsewhere for growth.

Nominations for the Fall 2026 LEAD cohort are open through Monday, August 3. Company CEOs, COOs and senior human resources professionals may nominate up to four emerging leaders from their organizations. The Fall cohort will combine virtual learning and collaboration with an in-person session held in conjunction with the Senior Living Leadership Summit. Review the program details and submit a nomination.

Watch the Spring cohort’s Capstone Project presentations. See what participants accomplished. Then consider who within your own organization is ready for the opportunity to learn, contribute and lead.

Nominate your future LEADer by August 3.
