NORWOOD, Mass.—LCB Senior Living, LLC (lcbseniorliving.com), New England’s fastest-growing provider of independent, assisted and memory care living services, has closed on the purchase of the Wingate Residences at Boylston Place, a 48-apartment independent and assisted living community located just off of Route 9 in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
LCB also acquired an empty adjacent building (also owned by Wingate) that was formerly a 135-bed skilled nursing facility. It will be converted into additional assisted living and memory care space, along with new common areas. The combined buildings have been renamed The Residence at Boylston Place (residenceboylstonplace.com). Once renovations are completed, the community will feature 99 apartments in total.
The Residence at Boylston Place becomes LCB’s 32nd community. The company has communities in nine states in the Northeast, with additional properties under development or in permitting in Bedford, Mass; Basking Ridge, N.J.; and Towson, Md.
“We are thrilled to welcome the residents of this stunning community to the LCB family,” said LCB CEO Michael A. Stoller. “The Residence at Boylston Place is a gem in the heart of Chestnut Hill and is a very special addition to our company. It is a location without parallel, in one of Greater Boston’s most desirable neighborhoods.”
The transaction is a joint venture between LCB and Harrison Street, an institutional private equity firm.
Assisted living residents in all LCB communities enjoy the privacy and comfort of a spacious apartment, complete with kitchenette, full bath, and a host of amenities. Residents also have access to individualized assistance with the activities of daily life. This includes such things as bathing, offering an escort to meals and other activities, dressing, showering, medication management, and more.
The Residence at Boylston Place will also feature LCB’s Reflections memory care services. This program offers sophisticated cognitive and social programming and care provided by dementia certified professionals. Reflections neighborhoods are secure, safe environments with their own spacious common areas, outdoor patio, and a host of other amenities.
In combination with the physical renovations, the improvements in engagement, recreation, and overall quality of life for residents will be significant.
Implementation of LCB’s signature Everyday Gourmet program will begin over the course of the first three months, in conjunction with kitchen upgrades and improvements in design and layout of the dining room. The program allows residents to choose what they want to eat, when they want to eat between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. The meals are meticulously crafted and prepared with the freshest and most local ingredients by professional chefs. Unrivaled by any other dining program in the industry, Everyday Gourmet provides residents with not only the most flexibility, but the most variety and options to select from.
